Toshiba 26AV502R Typical first-class Toshiba quality & value!

This is simply one first-class 26" LCD HDTV.

I have always been a Toshiba fan and own countless Toshiba products (DVD players - 3 including a portable 8" LCD HD DVD player and a superb 160GB DVR). Not one Toshiba product has ever failed me. They all excel in quality, features, value and ease of use.

As with the other Toshiba products I own, the 26AV502U 26-Inch LCD HDTV delivers in every respect: excellent, easy-to-understand User Manual, simple set-up, sensational quality picture with both HD Cable service (using HDMI interface) and DVD player (Toshiba, of course).

The choice of small size is because it is a 2nd set for use in a bedroom and replaces an 18 year old 27" Magnavox TV which still works as well as it did in 1991.

If I had to find one less than positive comment, it would be the sound quality (I am an audio buff). It is quite acceptable but less than superb. I always have the option of getting a set of external stereo speakers which can easily attach to one of the 26AV502U's audio outputs (analog or digital).

All in all, I do not believe you can find a better 26" LCD HDTV at any price, and Amazon's price was incredibly low -- $335 with FREE shipping! A local appliance store was selling the same model for $499.99.

I purchased this tv for use with my Xbox 360. So far, I've found no flaws and it's been simply excellent. The picture is clear, the tv itself looks nice, it's a great buy overall.

Toshiba 26AV502R Best Buy

Purchase the Toshiba for dual use as a desk top computer monitor and television. The unit has a good picture although the overall sound quality is below average. Offers good value and features for the money. Do not know yet if this is a re-occurring problem but have noticed on two occasions when the set is initially powered up the unit seems to lock up without ever having a picture or sound. Had to unplug the unit and power up then seems to work as designed.

Nice bedroom t.v. and the grandkids like it too when there is activity in the living room where the bigger t.v. is located. And the price is very good, picture quality excellent, easy to hang.

This Toshiba set has stunning color, far better black, the best picture I've seen in a 26" or smaller set had a decent price. I would like to see more intuitive menu item names, and to not have to adjust the color from channel to channel, program to program. It is also slow to turn on. But when set properly an absolutely stunning picture.

Toshiba 26AV502R Good buy

This TV is a bargain for the price. Easy to set-up, hook-up, and use the remote. Great picture. Great clarity and definition. It searched for and found multiple over the air and cable TV channels. It only took about 15 mins from box to viewing. I would buy this TV again.

The single issue we had with delivery, which was free, was the fact the delivery person left the box on our front porch and drove off. If we had not checked the porch later that evening, the boxed TV would have remained on the porch overnigt.
